FULL BODY LIGHT THERAPY
20 Minutes of Light - Unbelievable Benefits
Each session entails standing or sitting between our state of the art, medical grade, FDA approved panels for 20 minutes. These panels project two red light and three near infrared light at specific wavelengths (red @ 660, 630 nm & NIR @ 810, 830, 850 nm) that have been clinically proven to activate various intra-cellular pathways leading to a multitude of unbelievable health benefits. Studied by NASA and proven across over 5,000 peer reviewed independent studies, Full Body Light Therapy can help you look younger, heal faster, and feel better!

Photobiomodulation, Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), Red Light Therapy, Photo Therapy, and Photo Medicine are all valid names for the Full Body Light Therapy system we offer at West Omaha Cryotherapy.

Blood Glucose Reduction (diabetes)
"A 15 min exposure to 670 nm light reduced the degree of blood glucose elevation following glucose intake by 27.7%, integrated over 2 h after the glucose challenge. Maximum glucose spiking was reduced by 7.5%. Consequently, PBM with 670 nm light can be used to reduce blood glucose spikes following meals. This intervention may reduce damaging fluctuations of blood glucose on the body."
Parkinsons:
Inflammation
“PBM is able to up-regulate anti-oxidant defenses and reduce oxidative stress. It was shown that PBM can activate NF-kB in normal quiescent cells, however in activated inflammatory cells, inflammatory markers were decreased. One of the most reproducible effects of PBM is an overall reduction in inflammation, which is particularly important for disorders of the joints, traumatic injuries, lung disorders, and in the brain.”
“PBM increased the maximal load in exercise and reduced fatigue, creatine kinase, and visual analog scale (DOMS) compared to sham. Muscle biopsies were taken before and after the training program and showed that PBM decreased inflammatory markers such as interleukin 1β and muscle atrophy (myostatin). Protein synthesis (mammalian target of rapamycin) and oxidative stress defense (SOD2, mitochondrial superoxide dismutase) were up-regulated”

Muscle Recovery
“Increasing blood circulation in tissue exposed to light therapy would lead to an increase in the delivery of oxygen and other substrates to exercising muscles, thereby increasing the muscle's ability to perform work. An increase in oxygen delivery to the working muscle would also be beneficial to the cell by increasing ATP production via aerobic respiration”
“FIR lamp therapy was effective for attenuating muscle soreness by 55–60%, and reducing peak plasma CK activity by 45–89%”
Skin Health
“skin complexion, skin feeling, collagen intensity score, skin roughness, and wrinkle status improved significantly”

Sleep
"Recent studies in animal models have shown that photobiomodulation improves the function of the brain during sleep; that it stimulates the removal of toxic waste products into the venous system. We suggest that nocturnal photobiomodulation, by stimulating the function of the glymphatic system of the brain at night, will form an effective non-pharmacological treatment that helps improve the overall quality of sleep, and hence well-being and long-term health of many individuals."
